Cait started practicing yoga casually in 2012. After some difficult life changes, Cait was drawn to Wake Up Yoga and began a more steady practice. She became immersed, not only in the physical practice, but also in the mental and spiritual practice. Wanting to dive deeper, Cait enrolled in Wake Up Yoga’s Foundational Teacher Training program and completed her 250 hours in 2017. She is humbly grateful for her teachers Corina Benner, Felicia Graham Comisar, Laura Edoff, and Stephanie Berliner. Cait loves how powerful yoga is in uniting body and mind. She aims to create a class that is calm and grounding, meeting each student where they are, while still encouraging students to challenge themselves and build strength and flexibility.
What’s your motivation for teaching yoga?
Originally, my main reason for becoming a yoga teacher and pursuing teacher training was to dive deeper in to my own practice. However, it didn't take me long to realize I wanted to share it with others, and help others along their journey.
Do you have a "day job"?
I work full time as an LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) in a pediatric nursing facility and am pursuing my RN (Registered Nurse). I love what I do. I love helping those in need in general, but I especially enjoy working with children and am grateful to have the opportunity to combine the two.
What causes do you support?
One of the main causes I support is animal rights and vegetarianism. I am a huge animal lover and always have been.
