I began practicing asana about 18 years ago ... it was only during the last 6 years that I was introduced to some of the vedic texts and yoga philosophy . My teachers have included Kofi Busia, Erich Schiffman, Joan White, Michael Buck and Sri Sri Swami Satchidananda.
I am primarily a student of yoga . I completed a teachers training at Wake Up Yoga in Philadelphia in 2006 and have been teaching for over 2 years ... my teaching incorporates the influences of the different ‘styles’ that I have studied over the years. I am from London, with a background in the visual arts - I am among other things a printmaker, a Mother, a yoga teacher, a vedic body worker ( nuad boran ) and a student of Life and the Art of living.
It is my intention to create the environment, and to help to provide the means for self-transformation through intelligent sequencing, specific points of focus and philosophical insights - moving towards an absolute expression of the intangible through the expanded awareness of the body, the breath, the mind and the intellect .
