Jill Manning
After 19 years of dance training, Jill Manning left NYU's dance program to pursue Eastern Philosophy and Yoga Teacher Certification at Integral Yoga Institute, one of New York's oldest and most respected yoga schools. Her teaching style has been most strongly influenced by Rodney Yee, Maty Ezraty, and Joan White, her teacher right here in Philadelphia, as well as by her independent study of the Upanisads, the Vedas and the Bhagavad-gita. Her classes embrace yoga's intense physical conditioning while making yoga's more spiritual side accessible for those who wish to understand it. Her dynamic and highly attentive style builds strength, flexibility, confidence, and self acceptance. Jill tries to establish community in the classroom — the Sanskrit principle of Sangha — which often leads to a rollicking good time.
