It is not our situation in life, but our attitude towards life that makes us happy or unhappy. —Hazrat Inayat Khan, The Gayan
Few aspects of life are as transformative as one's attitudes. Much of what happens to us in life is a result of our attitudes. Our attitudes can open doors or can close them—or can cause us not to notice doors that are already open.
Attitudes can be changed but it's not that easy. We can't just decide what the best attitude would be and make that attitude our own. We need to learn how to work with it. Once we decide that a certain attitude is appropriate--gratitude, for example--the question is, how can we "take that attitude?"
Personal experience and reflection, and those of all our teachers in the circle, will be integral, so please come ready to listen as well as talk, so we can learn from each other.
Sample topics:
The smiling forehead
Positive thinking
Creative imagination
The power of suggestion
Holding a concentration
Seeing the point of view of others
Integrating past, present and future
The instant of time
