Wake Up Yoga is Vinyasa (flow-style) and Yin Yoga (passive) practice grounded on Raja Yoga (the Royal Path) as outlined in Patanjali's Yoga Sutra. Mindfulness and precision unite with movement and breath to create a juicy practice that is grounded, uplifting, informative and joyous. This practice is an enlivening experience of curiosity, discovery and acceptance that leads you to a deeper understanding of yourself and a stronger connection to your world. These classes are founded on Mindfulness, inspired by Heartfulness.

Please arrive 5-10 minutes early, as classes begin promptly. No pre-registration — drop in! We have mats for use, water for sale, changing areas, on-street (free!) parking, and great yoga!

Class Descriptions:

Vigorous Vinyasa: A physically challenging, strength-building, sweaty vinyasa yoga class. Anticipate inversions, arm balances, deep backward bends & hip openers. Appropriate for those looking to cultivate strength and flexibility, clear the mind and invigorate the body in a non-competitive environment.

Energizing Vinyasa: A balanced vinyasa yoga class, incorporating Sun Salutations into an intelligent sequence designed to stimulate the flow of energy in your body, twist out stagnation, and shift your perspective as you practice backward bends, forward bends and inversions. This will leave you feeling refreshed, super-charged, and ready to face the day! Appropriate for all levels of students.

Rise&Shine Yoga: Prepare yourself for a great day! An invigorating practice of sun salutations, twists, and backward bends appropriate for all levels.

Harmonizing Vinyasa: A vinyasa flow class balancing effort with surrender, strength with flexibility, in a well-rounded practice. Appropriate for students who want to be challenged with difficult postures and rewarded with sweet ones!

Slow, Steady & Sweet: A gentle hatha yoga class offering modifications that make asana practice approachable to all bodies. Appropriate for students who want to energize & fortify the body, clear out the mind, and open the heart through slower paced asana practice.

Yoga FUNdamentals: A back-to-basics class for students who want to deepen their awareness of alignment. Appropriate for new yogis as well as establish practitioners who wish to deeply explore foundational poses.

Intro to Yoga: Sample the flavor of vinyasa yoga with other newbies in a nurturing environment.

Yin Yoga: Practice holding floor postures for 5-minute intervals, appropriately stretching ligaments and tendons to create core-flexibility. Intended for students who want to move slowly, sink deeply, cultivate equanimity and feel deeply restored; to be uniquely challenged.
