About the teacher: Manorama the Director of the School for Sanskrit Studies in NYC, teaches Sanskrit, Meditation and Yoga philosophy throughout New York City and State. She leads workshops nationally, as well as internationally in Europe and Canada. Manorama began her studies in Sanskrit, Meditation and Yoga philosophy at an early age with her Guru, Shri Brahmananda Sarasvati, (Dr. Ramamurti S. Mishra, M.D.), the founder of Ananda Ashram and the author of The Textbook of Yoga Psychology and the Fundamentals of Yoga. Manorama continues to share the Luminous path with grace in the tradition that Shri Brahmananda taught her. Manorama continues her studies in Sanskrit working closely with Babaji, the reknowned Acharya, Dr. R.K. Sharma, president of IASS. She is a certified Sanskrit instructor for ASI and is a graduate of Columbia University. In 2003, Manorama produced her first traditional Sanskrit Chanting CD. The acclaimed Sarva-Bhuteshu 'In All Beings' and formed a production company titled Abhaya Productions.
